Art vs Science – Chosen One (Video Review)

The first time I ever saw Art vs Science, the first thing I loved about them (aside from the music) was watching them mosh on stage to their own ELECTRONIC music (something that people usually dance to rather than headbang). The second thing that I loved about them is that they saw me moshing along with them and smiled with me.
.

They struck me from that moment as genuine people who love what they do and as people who appreciate their fans.

Their video for Chosen One directed, shot and filmed by Dan Mac is one of their most simple clips yet but, one of their most powerful (and uses the drone that, if you follow them on Facebook, you know how happy they are with it).
.

Why their most powerful? For me, it’s because the clip shows them as people. It shows them on stage loving what they are doing. It shows them messing about on tour and it brings me right back to the first time that I fell in love with Art vs Science and any video that makes one smile and also shows the personalities of a band that you really like is a great clip.
.

The song itself is light, airy, whimsical and has a great beat to it. The perfect sound for this video. It makes you want to get up and dance. It makes you happy and what more can you ask for from a song?
.

Sitting here listening to the song just makes me want to be at an Art vs Science gig right now. Instead….we all have to wait until March to see them.

My name is Karen and I have been taking photos of bands since 2011. As I get more and more hooked on photography, I have also started branching out into anything that comes my way (including reviews etc) and I am starting to turn my passion into a business (living the dream!). I absolutely love my live music, especially the Perth Scene (some would even say addicted). I enjoy getting out there as often as I can, taking shots and chatting to people so if you are in Perth, come say hi :)
