    The Floors

Perth’s The Floors unveil their blistering new single, “Pills” premiered via Music Feeds. “Pills” is taken from their forthcoming sophomore LP, Beat It Down, out March 10, 2017independently in Australia and on Beast Records in Europe.
Beat It Down is the second full-length studio album from The Floors. It is new, bold and forceful, while its essence showcases their dexterity and showmanship heard on previous releases.

With over 6 years of live sets, a number of releases and multiple WAMI’s up their sleeves, The Floors continue their reputation for producing sonic annihilations that bursts from the amps of guitarist, Luke Dux and bassist, Ryan Dux and drives from the pulsating drum kit of Ash Doodkorte.
When the time came to write their second full length, the same ethos of fluidity was applied; they got comfortable. Taking a few years to write the songs and road test them profusely while enjoying some beers, the trio recently headed into the studio for four days with good friend,Dan Carroll (The Kill Devil Hills, Timothy Nelson) in his studio at RADA. Recording live to 8-track, the resulting album is gloriously unhinged; the anthemic sound of a band in motion, unafraid of change, filled with curiosity, musicality and ambition.
On this album, Luke sings of what it’s like to take control of your life and at the same time, let go. The autobiographical “Pills,” for which The Floors have shared today, “is about surrendering to your vices; taking the easy, destructive way out,” explains Luke. While elsewhere on the record The Floors look outwardly, becoming a desensitised society (‘Meat’) and getting a little too comfortable (‘Join The Fight’). This is an album about seeing, learning, questioning and rejecting things, and the struggles within yourself.
